Booking and Cancellation
Booking and Payment: Bookings are made either through our online store or by telephone. Once you receive an invoice via email, the booking is confirmed and you are obligated to pay.
Cancellation: Cancellations must be made at least 16 days before the activity starts. Non-payment does not count as a cancellation. For cancellations made after this date, no refund will be provided.
Last-minute Bookings: For bookings made less than 16 days before the activity starts, a 24-hour cancellation window applies from the time of booking. For bookings made less than 3 days before the start, cancellations are not permitted.
Insurance
Breoppleving holds liability insurance for all our activities. This covers expenses when Breoppleving’s instructors or guides are at fault for an injury. However, participants should have their own insurance to cover accidents where Breoppleving cannot be held liable. We particularly recommend travel insurance, but you should also consider personal accident insurance. Please ensure your policy does not exclude climbing or glacier trekking.
Payment
Payment must be made by the due date. If payment is not received, a reminder will be sent. For all bookings, full payment must be received by Breoppleving before the activity starts. Refunds from cancellations will be made within a week.
Cancellation by Breoppleving
Cancellations Breoppleving almost never cancels courses or trips. However, if the minimum number of participants is not met, Breoppleving reserves the right to cancel the activity. The deadline for such a cancellation is 7 days before the start date, and the customer will receive a full refund.
Travel and Accommodation Expenses If you need to book travel or accommodation, you must contact Breoppleving in advance to receive confirmation that the activity will proceed as planned before making any bookings. If such an agreement has been made, Breoppleving will cover these expenses in the event of a cancellation. If no such agreement exists, Breoppleving is not liable for these costs if the cancellation occurs at least 7 days before the activity starts.
Josten på langs (Jostedalsbreen Traverse) Specific cancellation terms apply to “Josten på langs.” This trip is highly weather-dependent. Consequently, we may cancel this trip up until the day before it begins. In such cases, Breoppleving will provide a full refund. However, participants will not be reimbursed for other expenses such as travel or accommodation.
Force Majeure In very rare cases, a cancellation may occur at shorter notice due to Force Majeure (e.g., fire, natural disasters, etc.). In such instances, Breoppleving may cancel activities on short notice without liability for compensation.
